[Guide] How to change your I.P. - Static & Dynamic

Here is a simple tutorial on how I change my IP with static. I know a lot of people probably know this trick but this will benefit lots of people. This is extremely useful for GPT.

Static

1. If you haven't plug your ethernet of your router to your computer.

2. Type in in the URL address: 192.168.1.1 (This is not the same for all routers, if it doesn't work post your router below and I can tell you) Or look it up

3. Once you have logged on usually there is a username and password. Generally your parents or whoever set it up hasn't touched it so if you don't know the password Google it.

4. Look around the settings for MAC ADDRESS.

5. Once you have found it click on Copy your PC's MAC. OR change around your MAC Address. Just change a few digits in the beginning, don't change it a lot or it might not work.

6. Now once you have changed it a bit click Save Settings or Save.

7. Now unplug your router and modem, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in.

8. You should have a new IP. It doesn't change ALL of it. Only the last digits 4 digits or so.

Dynamic
The hardest one.

1. Unplug your modem and router, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
